ACIO SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Team XMSTART is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide information technology systems engineering and technical advisory services at Chantilly, VA. for MOD/OE.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure information system owners are applying sound IT Management and Cybersecurity Management principles.
- Make recommendations and implement resolutions to a variety of conventional problems and situations related to the administration, coordination, and reporting requirements of the overall Information Systems Security Program
- Develop reports of analysis and processes the information in accordance with program procedures
- Provide technical input and develop documents to provide information, help prevent, and increase understanding of issues involved in computer cyber security incidents
- Gathers and organizes technical information about existing security products, and ongoing programs.
- Assist system owners and other representatives to create, maintain and update accreditation artifacts
- Respond to security incidents including gathering, analyzing and presenting forensic evidence for cyber malware and intrusions
- Support the development and deployment of agency-wide cyber security projects and initiatives into the network environment.
- Provide unbiased, independent advisory services on use, performance, and implementation of cloud services
- Support solution development regarding issues related to application refactoring, systems administration and/or system architecting, analyzing, and implementing cloud-based technologies
- Facilitate business relationships between Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and organizations consuming service offerings
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 9 years technical experience
- Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly
- Experience across multiple engineering disciplines to include: systems engineering, software development, and integration and test
- Experience with requirements development, interface control documentation, technical specification review, architecture and CONOPS development
- Working knowledge of security practices and procedures; knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software security implementation; various communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial products, and current Internet/EC technology
Direct and current experience with National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
